Learn

When asked the purpose of my blog I must admit that some of the posts are silly, some I hope are entertaining but most of all I want to teach. The main goal of “Crooked Creek” the blog, is to inform, to help the reader to learn something that might be new information or old information presented from a different point of view. Thank you for learning with me as we grow together on life’s journey.

“LEARN AS IF YOU WERE TO LIVE FOREVER.” MAHATMA GANDHI

I believe that Gandhi’s advice should be taken to heart. In fact, in my opinion, if we stop learning we have stopped living. I do not refer to formal education but to learning from opportunities that present themselves every day. We can learn from those we meet, from books and other reading platforms and travel. We must be open to learning new things, but also to changing our minds about long-held beliefs. As we live, we should evolve in our opinions, in our way of seeing life and seeing others.

None of us want to remain infants in our behaviors but neither should we be satisfied to think in the ways of our childhood.

Continue to grow, to learn, to evolve and to share your new knowledge with others.

  1. Thank you. I feel the same way. Just want to know more. I use Google a lot. It’s like having an encyclopedia in my hand. I love computers and want to know more about how they work. Right now I have a printer that is not printing. I have taken the print head out, cleaned it, changed cartridges, etc. But no luck. I love this printer and don’t want to trash it. It is 5 years old so I guess it has given its all by now. So I guess I am off to look for another printer. In 5 years technology has changed so I will need to do some research on the new ones. Love your blog.

    1. Thank you Brenda! Good luck with your printer. It is frustrating when things don’t work, especially if it is something we really like. Guess you’ve tried unplugging it and letting it boot up fresh. I have to do that with mine frequently and it’s fairly new.

  2. Wisdom for all ages. So much of what I have learned has been in my “older” years. I have learned from my mistakes and vowed not to do them again; Learned from seeing others make mistakes; learned that as societal norms have changed, my views have grown, as well. I get excited about opportunities to become better informed. It means I woke up today, and have no idea what might happen. However, if I am open, I will know more than I did yesterday.
